When you place an order on https://thechinchillabakery.co.uk website you are accepting our Terms & Conditions of Sale.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the www.thechinchillabakery.co.uk website.
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.
Ordering with us
When you place an order we’ll need your name, address, e-mail address, credit / debit card number and card expiry date. This information is processed securely by encrypting data sent to and from us and our customers using the HTTPS protocol.
When your request has been processed we’ll notify you of receipt of your order and you’ll be able to check if all the details are correct. When your order is ready and has been posted we’ll let you know via email.
It’s useful to have a contact telephone number so that we can quickly reach you if we need to discuss your order. Some couriers also require customer’s telephone numbers.
Payment for all orders is at point of sale and not at point of dispatch. Payment is made using our online payment facility and you can pay by credit / debit card or PayPal.
The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered with UK delivery added on top. Once you have selected all your items, you will be able to chose the right postage option for you and that cost will then be added on.
International delivery charges are also added on at the end of the process. International shipping rates vary for each country and size of order.
By entering card details onto our system you confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. All credit / debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
To be eligible to purchase products on this website you must be over 18 years of age, stipulate a delivery address and possess a valid credit or debit card. We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by anyone at any time.
Because each treat is tailor made to order, our lead time is order specific and can range from 1-3 days depending on size and design complexity.
Everything is lovingly handmade by one person in a small kitchen, and nothing is pre-baked and stored. This means that every order is individually baked and not mass-produced. The only items that are ready to go are the treat bags and treat boxes. Please do bear this in mind if you are ordering a gift for a specific time. You will be notified on receipt of your order if it will take longer than 1 week.
Each treat is made with the highest quality ingredients and is guaranteed to be safe for your pets. However, when it comes to orders for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Degus, the range of ‘safe ingredients’ can differ. For example Goji Berries would be fine for Chinchillas but not recommended for Rabbits and Degus. The Chinchilla Bakery uses online and anecdotal research to determine what is safe for your pets. The final responsibility however comes down to the owner to ensure they are not ordering anything that wouldn’t be appropriate for their particular pet. Please do get in touch to discuss any questions you may have.
Estimated delivery times are given for each order on the postage page. Please check these carefully. We work very hard to meet the delivery times quoted on our site and aim to be as quick as possible, especially if something is needed for a gift. Please bear in mind that delivery times are estimates and postal services aren’t always as reliable as we’d like them to be! At times of public holidays (e.g Christmas, Easter and bank holidays) delivery may take a little longer. Please remember if you order on a Saturday, the earliest time your package could be posted would be the Monday, so if you select ‘Next Day Delivery’, this may not get to you until the Tuesday.
If you need something by a given date and are unable to communicate this via our site please do contact us via email and we will do our best to help you.
The Chinchilla Bakery does not take responsibility for any damage during transit. Your purchases will be packed carefully and have a ‘FRAGILE’ label attached. On from the Post Office, unfortunately we have no control over how your parcel is handled. If your item is damaged when it arrives, please let us know.
Every parcel sent will have proof of postage as a minimum. If you would like it tracked, you can select this option as checkout. The Chinchilla Bakery does not accept responsibility for any lost parcels but will take this very seriously and will try our best to resolve this for you.
Product Pricing & Descriptions
All prices published are set by the Bakery and are in pounds sterling. Each product purchased is sold subject to its product description, but please do remember that these handmade items are not mass-produced and therefore slight variables in shape and even colour are always possible. We will never change or substitute an ingredient unless discussed with you first.
Returns and Refunds
We hope that you’ll be very happy with your purchases from The Chinchilla Bakery. However, unless there is a fault with the product itself we cannot offer refunds. This is because every item is designed and created for you and therefore we cannot re-sell. I would also never want to sell on another item that his been out of the Bakery and out of sight, as there is no way to determine what has happened to the item in that time.
Animals can be fussy! Sometimes animals can turn their nose up at things, and I really hope this isn’t the case for our treats! We will not be able to carry out any refunds due to a pet not liking a treat. Please ensure you try your best to pick flavours you know your pet will like to avoid disappointment. If you pet doesn’t like the treats for any reason, please contact me first and we can try and arrange a resolution.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
